Welcome back! If you haven’t read Part 1, I’d suggest you go read it and come back here when you’re done. Anyway, it's the day I’ve been waiting for all week. Four new episodes of TUQL were released today and I will be providing my live reactions and review at the end. This may be a bit longer than the first because I didn’t know I was going to do a post until I was on the second episode. Buckle up.

Episode 5: Yoly messy as hell, talking about ‘that’s for you and Vanessa at another time.’ Also, is that lipstick on Xander’s neck? I definitely feel like Yoly delighted in telling Xander that in a ‘pick me’ kind of way.

Are we seeing Stockholm Rae? I think Vanessa gets her claws in her prey and then they’re like ‘This is actually pretty nice’ and forget they’re about to get eaten. Lexi may need to let it go though.

Aw, look at Mildred being rational. Aussie is a runner. Any confrontation and those track shoes are ON! Zoey is SO cute. NOT AUSSIE PACKING THEIR BAGS. I’m confused because Midred didn’t confront them on 100, I feel like she approached on like 20. But that note Aussie left? Yikes. “I was really wanting this to work. It’s a shame it had to end this way.” Like are you okay? But Aussie knew it wasn’t gonna work. Mildred knows she's sad. Stop playing. I feel bad for Mildred.

The lunch Xander and Yoly had with Xander’s best friend was mid, they could’ve given us a bit more. But Xander saying Yoly changed her life was sweet, maybe we’re saying Goodbye to Stockholm Xander?

I really feel like Tifff and Sam are getting along SO well. The energy has shifted, okay?

I love Lexi’s dad. I feel like Lexi’s mom is asking the best questions, but I do love that Lexi and Mal are so supportive of each other and asking what the other needs at that moment. Is that what healthy communication feels like?

Vanessa’s father is not what I expected, but I can see where she gets this selfishness from because he’s talking about a seven-year lease marriage. “Be selfish. That’s the reality, or else you’re trying to make someone else happy.” Like there’s so much to unpack there.

Xander and Yoly are in love now. I didn’t not see it coming, but we’ll see how things are at the end of the experiment.

Mal’s friend, Alicia, is not having it. She’s trying to say that Mal is lovable so that easy to mistake her lovability for romantic feelings. And, ouch.

Tiff’s Friend, Natasha, is confused. These friends are not here for it. However, Natasha saying they can’t communicate is interesting, because Mildred was doing a lot of talking, maybe she just attracts partners that don’t like to talk to her. Not Natasha being the sex therapist.

I feel like Yoly and Xander are…TBD. I don’t know, but the ring pop is weird.

Tiff and Sam are growing on me, but they seem like friends.

I zoned out for like 98% of Vanessa and Rae’s conversation.

Lexi telling Mal she’s one of her soulmates feels like she’s saying she’s going to get back with Rae.

Xander and Yoly are still TBD. Did they just move faster than everyone else? Honestly, if they’re that sure about each other, they should just refuse to live with their ex for the next three weeks.

Episode 6: They’re having another dinner!? Absolutely not. Disaster central here we go.

I’m surprised Aussie showed up, I’d be embarrassed. I would have to change my name and move to Australia.

Aussie is delusional. I’ve decided. Tiff is pissed about Aussie leaving Mildred, but Aussie needs counseling.

So Rae DOES know Vanessa’s selfish? I’m going to use what Vanessa says as affirmations: “People just offer me so much unconditional love. People just offer me so much unconditional love. People just offer me so much unconditional love.” I think we should all aspire to be on Vanessa’s level of self-obsession.

And Stockholm Xander is back. Yikes.

Yoly is hurt, but like eh… I don’t know. Vanessa asked about the romantic…connection. LOL.

Vanessa is lying. She is lying hard. She is NOT ready for marriage. She just doesn’t want anyone else to have Xander.

Lexi came in HOT. Immediately “I don’t trust you.” LMAO.

I feel like Vanessa is playing the hell out of Xander. Xander saying she doesn’t know if she loves Yoly is weird. Y’all just got engaged with a ring pop…

If Lexi was crying, Mal would've been up her ass trying to comfort her. Yoly is crying and she’s put space in between them. But Yoly telling Mal she fell in love with Xander??? While Xander is over there with Vanessa saying they don’t know. Mal never said she didn’t want to marry Yoly, she just needed time. So this whole, I’m in love with Xander HAS to suck.

How much do you think Crumbl paid Netlfix to be included in this episode? Also, I’m definitely going to try their Cookie Butter Ice Cream cookie…and maybe the Triple Berry Cobbler. And my store has the Kentucky Butter Cake. I’m a sucker.

Aussie needs to be escorted from the premises until she’s ready to have a conversation like an adult. But of course, straight to bed, just like Mildred and Tiff.

Lexi is not feeling it and it’s clear. The seagulls are trying to see what’s in that bag. I think Rae needs therapy, but don’t they all? Don’t we all?

Yoly is definitely feeling Xander more than Mal. However, Xander needs to tell Vanessa that she lifes Yoly more than her because it’s disrespectful. I can’t believe I’m siding with Vanessa.

Is Natasha being the therapist again? Mildred and Tiff definitely have communication issues and it’s clear. Yikes.

Aussie is lying and she does not need to be engaged to anyone. Like, be for real. I love that Sam has found her voice, but she needs to find the door and leave Aussie.

Lexi and Rae just need to call it quits because they’re irritating me, but Lexi is asking the real questions. I zoned out towards the end of their dinner conversation.

Vanessa always looks and sounds like she wants to cry, but doesn’t. It’s giving crocodile.

Episode 7: Mal is trying hard, but Yoly still needs more physical. However, Yoly is a totally different person with Mal than she is with Xander.

Is Aussie having an actual conversation?

Lexi and Rae… TBD, we’ll circle back when I have more information.

So Xander is just not going to mention the fact that she said she’s in love with Yoly. This is the first time I’ve seen actual tears from Vanessa, but I didn’t see them fall so it might be spit.

Okay, I see it now. At first, I thought Mildred just spoke her mind and was passionate, but she interrupts the hell out of Tiff. Being Latina does not mean you have to speak over people. “Being respectful has no race” LOL.

Mal and Yoly seem like they’re doing better. We shall see.

Aussie isn’t out to her parents and it says a lot…

Mildred and Tiff are still together? I thought they were done when Tiff said they didn’t want to talk about marriage. I hope they can work things out.

There’s still a week left and they’re letting the couples grab drinks together? It’s the ultimate setup.

Everyone side-eyeing how cozy Xander and Yoly was hilarious! Also, that conversation between Xander, Yoly, Vanessa, and Mal was weird.

What did Xander mouth to Yoly that she had to say “I know.” I’m confused, what’s going on?

Yoly and Xander need to be together, but I’m still indifferent about Xander not telling Vanessa how they really feel about Yoly. Also, Mal shouldn’t have put Xander on the spot like that.

Lexi and Rae... I still don’t see if they’re sustainable. Is Lexi lowkey controlling? Lexi is definitely letting her disgust of Vanessa get in the way of things.

Mal and Yoly… yikes. That is all.

Did Xander and Vanessa just sleep together?

Episode 8: So Tiff and Mildred are going to make it work??????? Okay.

Aussie needs an enabler. Sam is no longer willing to be that. I love that for her. Like Aussies is..what 40-something? Please. I’m confused as to what Aussie’s truth is, but whew. There are some major childhood wounds there. But one thing that is consistent about Aussie? Aussie is going to leave.

I don’t know how productive the conversation Rae and Lexi had was, but I’m still not convinced they need to be together.

Aussie not being in ‘’listening mode’’ is hilarious. Aussie is leaving. Aussie is putting on those track shoes. Aussie is gone. Okay, Aussie’s back and is ‘sorry.’

I’m half listening to Xander and Vanessa, but her dad is correct. Vanessa doesn’t want to lose Xander, period. Vanessa’s dad clearly knows who he raised because he’s just like ‘okay.’

Alicia is confused, Mal is confused, and we’re all confused about Yoly. Yoly said Xander got money and the romance is there so that’s where I’m going.

Mildred definitely just wants the “ideas of marriage” and I don’t think she’s as ‘solid’ as she says. I think she just wants to be married, full stop.

Sam is SO understanding and patient. Couldn’t be me. Aussie better hold onto Sam because the probability of someone else putting up with that nonconfrontational b.s. is low.

At this point, there are only 17 minutes left and I think everyone is going to stay with their original partner… I think.

My Current Predictions:

Mal is obv going to propose to Yoly. Yoly is iffy and I don’t know if she is going to say yes.

Xander is not going to stay with Vanessa, God willing.

Aussie and Sam will stay together.

Mildred and Tiff are a no.

Lexi and Rae…unfortunately, yes.

For sure, I thought I was going to find out who was saying yes and Netflix has played in my face once again.

My lowkey angry review of TUQL Part 2: 7/10

Netflix did not need to drag this out until June 7 when I was barely holding on after watching four hours of indecisiveness on all parts. I was super excited to see what was going to happen and it mostly fell flat after episode 6. However, I will say that I love the growth that some of them have exhibited. I am proud that Aussie is starting to be able to have a full conversation without immediately running at the ripe age of 42. I love it. Mildred and Tiff seem to be working through things and then it reverts and then they’re together and it’s confusing. Rae needs to go discover who she is before coming back to Lexi because sis was drowning. I am very confused about the Xander, Yoly, and Mal, triangle and therefore will not comment. However, I think Vanessa has shown Xander what she wanted to see and hear. I still don’t know if it’s genuine or if it’s just, this is what I need to do to keep Xander in my life. I guess we’ll see what happens on June 7. If you don’t watch it, I don’t even blame you, but I will be here on June 7 with my reactions and review!
